New episode of ‘Finding Your Roots’ to air Oct. 15

Season Six of “Finding Your Roots” will continue on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. on PBS stations.

This week’s episode will feature Melissa McCarthy and Eric Stonestreet.  In January 2020, eight more episodes will air.

‘Finding Your Roots’ continues on Tuesday

The PBS show “Finding Your Roots,” hosted by Henry Louis Gates, Jr., will continue on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m.

There will be 10 episodes this season. Some of the guests that will appear on the show include: Scarlett Johansson, Bryant Gumbel, Carmelo Anthony and Tea Leoni.

In this episode guests will include: Ta-Nehisi Coates, Ava DuVernay and Janet Mock. These guests who helped redefine Black America will learn about their family origins.

Who Do You Think You Are? continues on Sunday

The next episode of the genealogy show Who Do You Think You Are? will take place Sunday, March 26 on TLC at 10 p.m. The one-hour episodes will bring surprising discoveries of historical significance.

This season’s celebrity contributors include:

*Jessica Biel – who learns surprising discoveries that change what she thought knew about her heritage.

*Smokey Robinson – searches for answers behind the mystery of why his grandfather disappeared from his children’s lives.
