Several free genealogy programs will be offered this week covering genetic genealogy and African American genealogy.

Allen County Public Library will present “FamilySearch Sleuthing” on Tuesday, June 25 at 2:30 p.m. FamilySearch.org offers so many genealogical treasures and for free. This presentation begins with the FamilySearch basics and goes on to investigate many of FamilySearch’s under-utilized features.

Genealogy federation to host tour of Levittown Historical Society

The Genealogy Federation of Long Island will be hosting a free tour and presentation at the Levittown Historical Society and Museum on Wednesday, July 17 and Friday,  July 26.

Hear about the transformation of Levittown from a Long Island rural farming community to the largest suburbia in the United States. The museum is a mid-20th century gem of artifacts and memorabilia.
