The Italian Genealogical Group will meet on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Bethpage Public Library. This month’s program will be “Naturalizaton Research at the New York Public Library” presented by Philip Sutton. Learn the history of how our ancestors became citizens, the kinds of records they generated and when they did so, what information those records contain and where you can find them.

The Help Session begins at 9:30 a.m. and the meeting begins at 10 a.m. For more information, go to the club website at: https://italiangen.org

The Connetquot Public Library will present “Reclaim the Records” on Saturday. Jan. 11 at 2 p.m.. The presenter will be Alex Ferretti. Reclaim the Records is a nonprofit that seeks to restore public access to genealogical documents.
