In May 2013 the National Genealogical Society published a book “New York – Research in New York City, Long Island and Westchester County.” This is part of the NGS Research in the States Series.

The book is 44 pages and costs $14.50 for NGS members and $17.50 for non-members.  It can be also be purchased as a PDF document for $8 for NGS members and $10 for non-members. The PDF document can be downloaded a total of three times and it expires 12 months from the date of purchase.
