New York State Archives to be topic of Wednesday interview

The Forget-Me-Not Hour, hosted by Jane E. Wilcox, will present an interview with Jim Folts, head of researcher services at the New York State Archives, on Wednesday, June 7 at 10 a.m.

Jim will discuss the New York State Supreme Court of Judicature and its records. Find out the history of the court, what types of records the state archives holds, and the recent transfer of records from New York City to Albany.

While at the site, check out the archives for a recent interview with Jackie Graziano, archivist at the Westchester County Archives and Patrick Raftery, librarian for the Westchester County Historical Society. Find out how the archives and the historical society work together to preserve Westchester County history.

D. Joshua Taylor to be featured on talk radio program

Forget Me Not Blog Talk Radio, hosted by Jane E. Wilcox, will present and interview of D. Joshua Taylor on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 3 p.m.

D. Joshua Taylor, new president of the New York Genealogical Society and host of The Genealogy Roadshow, joins Jane to talk about the direction the NYG&B will be taking when its new strategic plan is implemented.

Josh will also talk about his experiences as one of the hosts of the PBS program Genealogy Roadshow. Find out what it’s like behind the scenes for the hosts and more.

Blog talk radio program focuses on genetic genealogy

Forget-Me-Not Blog Talk Radio, hosted by Jane E. Wilcox, recently presented a show on genetic genealogy.

Guests featured on the program were genetic genealogy educators and bloggers Blaine T. Bettinger, Ph.D., JD, and Debbie Parker Wayne, CG, CGL. They are authors of the new book “Genetic Genealogy in Practice.”
