Three local groups to meet this week

The local genealogy groups will have meetings this week.

The Connetquot Public Library will present “Choosing the Right Family Tree Software” on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at  7 p.m. The presenter will be Chuck Weinstein.

The Brentwood Public Library will present “Exploring Cemeteries” on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. The presenter will be Susan Jaycox Murphy.

The Jewish Genealogy Society of Long Island will meet on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 2-4 p.m. This month’s topic will be “Jewish Genealogy: News You Can Use.” The presenters will be several members of the organization. Learn about Jewish research in Germany and Ukraine as well as updates regarding local resources, including the JGSLI library collection and a new JGSLI project.
