Two free webinars to focus on railroad history, Georgia research

Two free genealogy webinars will take place on Wednesday, November 28.

Legacy Family Tree Webinars will present “Railroad Records and Railroad History” at 2 p.m. Did great-grandpa traverse this nation as he worked for the railroad? For which railroad did he work? Where did it run? Are there railroad records which may give us personal details? Visuals and references demonstrate the wealth of historical materials available all across the U.S.

The Georgia Genealogy Society will present “Georgia Research Locations; Not Just for Georgia Researchers” at 8 p.m. Learn details about unexpected Georgia research spots regardless of your ancestor’s location or yours. The webinar will cover five research locations: Huxford-Spear Genealogy Library, Ellen Payne Odom Genealogy Library, Thomasville Genealogical Library, the Georgia Archives and the Southeast National Archives. It is surprising what you will find on those ancestors who never even went to Georgia.
