Irish Family History Forum to meet Saturday

The Irish Family History Forum will meet this Saturday, May 19, at the Bethpage Public Library.

At 10:00 a.m. there will be Genealogy Tips and Tricks with Kathleen McGee. There will be a refreshment break at 10:45 a.m. followed by Ask the Experts. The featured speaker will start at 11:15 a.m.

This month’s topic will be “Evidence Analysis: Finding the Right Record Using the Genealogical Proof Standard (GPS)” by genealogist Rhoda Miller. She will demonstrate methods of looking at your research to find gaps as well as evaluate findings, especially those with conflicting or indirect evidence. Irish examples will be given.
