Lineage societies to be topic of local library meeting

The Patchogue-Medford Public Library will be hosting a genealogy lecture on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.

The topic will be “Joining Lineage Societies.” There are dozens of lineage societies in America such as the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Society of Mayflower Descendants. Come learn about the variety of societies that you can join based on your ancestry. The program is free and open to the public.

As a reminder, one-on-one genealogy appointments are available from 5-9 p.m. every Wednesday evening.
