Annual Jewish genealogy workshop set for Nov. 5

The 27th annual Family History Workshop will take place on Sunday, November 5 from 12:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Mid-Island Y-JCC in Plainview.

Instructors will explain where and how to find Jewish records which exist in the United States, Europe and Israel. Some of the sources to be discussed include: census records, city directories, naturalization records and vital records.

Early Bird Registration by October 29 is $45
Late Registration is $55

Registration includes a one year membership in the Jewish Genealogy Society of Long Island; a copy of the workshop manual and a copy of Avotayru’s “Getting Started in Jewish Genealogy.”
