Two local genealogy groups to meet Saturday

Two local genealogy groups will be meeting this Saturday, Jan. 28.

This month’s program for the Patchogue-Medford Genealogy Research Group will be “Researching in the Black Hole, 1940s-1960” presented by the library’s genealogy librarian Kathy Then. The program will begin at 10 a.m., with a Help Session at 9:30 a.m.

Kathy will also be offering a program on “Online Historical Newspapers” on Wednesday, Feb. 2 from 10-11:30 a.m. Both programs take place at the Patchogue-Medford Library. For more information, contact the library at 631-654-4700.

The Brentwood Genealogists will present a webinar entitled “Creating Ancestor Profiles from Start to Finish” led by Lisa Alzo.
