The Jewish Genealogy Society of Greater Orlando will be presenting 10 FREE webinars, entitled “My Jewish Roots.”
The first program, “Begin Building Your Family Tree”, will take place on Monday, Sept. 6 from 7-9 p.m. It will cover the fundamentals of starting your family discovery journey: how to write down what you currently know, how to interview and record living relatives, finding family history artifacts, how to select family tree software, the importance of collecting DNA, and other topics important to preparing and organizing your family history.
Future programs will cover: how to connect to family discovery resources and experts; how to discover the ancestral towns outside of the U.S.; how to decide who to test, which DNA test, and with which company to test; understanding your DNA results; researching with Ancestry.com; researching family in the Shoah; and researching ancestral records in the native country.
