The Irish Family History Forum will meet this Saturday, June 18, at the Bethpage Public Library.

A Getting Started program will take place from 10-10:30 a.m. and an Ask the Experts panel will take place from 10:30-11 a.m.

This month’s topic will be “Descendant Tracing” presented by Melissa A. Johnson. Learn how to trace all of the descendants of an ancestor (not just those in your direct line) to locate living cousins. This lecture focuses on the value of researching forward in your family tree and introduces the resources and types of records useful for this increasingly popular type of research both in the USA and overseas.

The Bethpage Public Library is located at 47 Powell Avenue. For more information, go to the club website at: www.ifhf.org.
