Three genealogy webinars set for Wednesday

Three genealogy webinars are scheduled for this Wednesday, April 20.

Legacy Family Tree Webinars will present “Fire Insurance Maps” at 2 p.m. Fire insurance maps were developed in the late 19th century to assist insurance companies in managing their risk of coverage in areas where they did not have a physical presence. Over 54,000 maps were created between 1895 and 1920. This webinar will explore the history of the maps, including the the Sanborn Map Company; identify where to access these maps and illustrate how maps can solve genealogical problems and add context to the lives of our ancestors.
