Genealogy Lock-In to take place April 2

Registration is now open for the annual Genealogy Lock-In program at the Patchogue-Medford Public Library.

This year’s Lock-In will take place on Saturday, April 2 from 1-9 p.m. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m.

We are happy to be hosting genealogy author and lecturer, George G. Morgan. Mr. Morgan is the author of several genealogy books including: “Advanced Genealogy Research Techniques,” “The Official Guide to Ancestry.com” and “How to Do Everything – Genealogy.” He is also the co-host of the long running Genealogy Guys Podcast.

There will be a dinner break on your own from 4-5 p.m. After the lectures, participants can stay to work on the library computers, use microfilm or the New York State Vital Records Index.

The event is free but everyone must pre-register. To register for the event, call the library at 631-654-4700 or register using the online events calendar
