All day genealogy event set for April 30

The Genealogy Federation of Long Island will present an all-day genealogy event at the Bethpage Public Library on April 30.

There will be two tracks of lectures during the day with an Ask the Experts panel from 12:30-1:30 p.m. The lectures will be:

Track I: Getting Started in Genealogy Research – 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Finding Your Irish Ancestral Place of Origin – 11 a.m. – noon
The New and the Old in German Genealogy – 2-3 p.m.
Expanding Your Research for Italian Ancestors from Home – 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Track II: Genealogical Services of the Huntington Historical Society – 9:30-10:30 a.m.
The Genealogical Importance of Jewish Burial Records and Cemetery Information – 11 a.m. – noon
Evidence Analysis – 2-3 p.m.
Available Resources at the African American Museum – 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Members from the Genealogy Federation of Long Island will have tables at the event with information about their organizations.
