The Seaford Public Library will be presenting a program, “How To Get Started Tracing Your Irish Genealogy” with genealogist Kathleen McGee on Thursday, March 10 at 7 p.m.

Kathleen will discuss how to find your ancestor’s place of origin in Ireland and sources that may help to discover this information. She will also talk about using basic Irish genealogy records such as Civil Registration, Griffith’s Valuation, parish registers and Irish census records – all important sources when tracing Irish ancestors.

The program is free and open to the public. The library is located at 2234 Jackson Avenue in Seaford. To register, contact Contact Kristin Jording at 516-221-1334.
