Two day genealogy event to take place in Manhattan

GENGEN (GENealogy over GENerations), formerly The Genealogy Event, will take place on Sat. Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Scandinavia House, located at 58 Park Avenue at 38th street.

The event will take across two levels – with panel discussions taking place on the lower level and the roundtables, talks and a selection of company tables on the upper level. There will be 30 minute panel discussions, 45 minute talks focused on genealogy/history, 30 minute small group roundtable discussions, a selection of experts and genealogy focused companies, a selection of companies with genealogy/DNA focused products/services and a social event following the event.

GENGEN (GENetics over GENerations), formerly The Genealogy Event DNA Day, will take place Sun. Oct 25 at the Scandanavia House from noon to 4 p.m. The focus of this one day event is exploring the world of DNA. Topics will include: Overview of the (3) Types of Tests; “I’ve Got My Results, Now What?”; Using DNA as part of the Genealogical Proof Standard; and DNA Success Stories.
