German Genealogy Group to meet Thursday

The German Genealogy Group will meet Thursday, Oct. 1, at the VFW, 320 South Broadway, in Hicksville.

The program will be “NO VITALS/ NO PROBLEM! – Building a Family through Circumstantial Evidence,” presented by The Legal Genealogist, Judy G. Russell.

A Certified Genealogist with a law degree, Judy G. Russell, JD, CG, CGL, is a lecturer, educator and writer who enjoys helping others understand genealogical issues ranging from how to use DNA in family research to the way the law affected our ancestors’ lives and the records they left behind. She’s written for the National Genealogical Society Quarterly and National Genealogical Society magazine and speaks to genealogical groups around the country.

Orientation begins at 7:00 p.m. and the meeting begins at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
