Free access to Ancestry.com U.S. vital records and wills

Ancestry.com will offer free access to all its U.S. birth, death and marriage records this week as well as access to its new Wills collection.

Free access is available today through Monday, September 7 at 10 p.m.

The wills collection contains more than 170 million pages of will and probate records from every state in the country. All the records are searchable and cover the years 1668-2005. Years will vary from state to state. Documents come from state and local courts. Ancestry.com has plans to expand the collection over the next several years.
