Jewish genealogy society to meet on Sunday

The Jewish Genealogy Society of Long Island will meet this Sunday, May 31, at the Mid-Island Y-JCC in Plainview, from 2- 4 p.m.

The topic will be: “JGSLIers Share Their Success Stories.” Topics to be discussed by members include: researching early 20th century immigrant ancestors, the value of using Facebook for genealogists, maintaining and preserving family records for future generations and how using a variety of research techniques and a little serendipity helped one member connect to relatives in Europe and Israel.
