Civil war research to be topic of meeting

The Patchogue-Medford Genealogy Research Group will meet this Saturday, May 30, at the Patchogue-Medford Public library.

There will be a Help Session at 9:30 a.m. and the program will be from 10-11:30 a.m. The topic will be “Researching Your Civil War Ancestors” presented by professional genealogist Laura Congleton.

Topics covered in the program will include: research strategies, Union pension records, enlistments and muster rolls and Civil War compiled military service records.
